Louisiana Survey
Post-Hurricane
Community
Audit
|
|
Results of a new study funded by LSU's Reilly Center
for Media and Public Affairs shows that Louisiana residents are most
concerned about the displacement of the state's residents, closely
followed by their concern for rebuilding New Orleans. When asked who
should foot the bill for rebuilding, a majority of residents said it
is the federal government's responsibility. Residents also gave high
marks to religious and non-profit organizations for effective
response post hurricane Katrina.
The study, conducted by PPRL from Nov. 3 through Nov. 18, is based
on telephone interviews with 653 randomly selected adult Louisiana
residents.
The survey has a margin of error of +/- 3.9 percent and and was
sponsored by the Manship School of Mass Communication's Reilly
Center for Media & Public Affairs. |
